Build a tailored CV that accurately reflects your NCLEX and state licensure status, clinical experience, and work authorisation when preparing applications for US healthcare employers.
Working in United States
Nursing licensure is controlled by each US state or territory. Internationally educated nurses generally apply to the relevant board of nursing, complete its credential and English-language requirements where applicable, and pass the NCLEX-RN for registered nurse licensure. Requirements vary by board. A multistate licence under the Nurse Licensure Compact is available only to nurses who meet its residence and eligibility rules. Immigration and work authorisation are separate legal processes.
Application preparation
Use the published role and current official requirements as your source of truth, then present your experience accurately.
GoToCV helps prepare editable application drafts. It does not currently provide a dedicated US job search, assess NCLEX or state licensure eligibility, confirm immigration outcomes, guarantee employer sponsorship, or guarantee an interview or job offer. Confirm requirements with the relevant board of nursing and obtain qualified immigration advice where needed.
